Hopeful Heart

Review by Diane - 7/19/2010
Title: A Hopeful Heart
Author: Kim Vogel Sawyer

A Hopeful Heart is a prairie romance with a mix of mystery and danger that will keep the reader anxious to read on.  Tressa Neill is forced to leave her home in the east and travel to Kansas in the year of 1888.  She will attend a school for women that will teach her how to be a rancher's wife.  Tressa is a timid young lady, who is at the bottom of the pecking order of the others who are also attending Hattie Wyatt's school.  As time goes by, she learns to stand up for herself and develops the skills needed to survive out west. A relationship develops with a rancher, Abel Samms, who remains cautious about falling for a girl from out east.
